On April 30th Molly Smiles Foundation announced the recipients of the Molly Smiles Grants for the 2024 cycle—8 incredible children!
We were overwhelmed to receive over 30 applications during our inaugural grant cycle!
Grant Criteria
MSF aims to provide families of children with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities with financial support to meet their individual needs. MSF is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and MSF only approves grants in furtherance of such charitable purposes.
Grants will therefore be made to families with children ages 0-17 with a diagnosed developmental, physical, or intellectual disability, in line with the MSF mission. Parents and legal guardians can apply on a child’s behalf to request grant funds for such child’s individualized needs. Examples of grants MSF would be thrilled to support include augmentative and alternative communication devices, health insurance copays, intensive treatment programs, medications, specialized equipment, and travel expenses for specialists/services.
Children and their primary caregiver must reside in California to be eligible for a grant. Priority will be given to applicants residing within the Bay Area and experiencing financial hardship.
Grant Cycle
Applications must be submitted between February 1st, 2024 and March 31st, 2024. Eligible candidates who pass the initial screening will be asked to upload supporting documentation (e.g., medical diagnosis proof and photographs) within two weeks of MSF receiving the initial screening. Applications will be reviewed by MSF team members and grant recipients will be selected by the Board by April 30th, 2024. The current grant cycle will close on March 31st, 2024. - if you need additional support to complete your application please email mollysmilesfoundation@gmail.com by March 31st, 2024.
